Watch This Now: Sir Ken Robinson talks about education

When I was in first grade my teacher wanted to put me on Ritalin because I was disruptive in class. I would finish my work well before everyone else and, when a first grader is bored, they can be disruptive. I was disruptive but not because I had ADHD, I was disruptive because I was 7 years old and bored out of my mind.

We need to fix the way we think about educating children in this country, we need to rethink the way we treat teachers and we need to change the way we look at children who are “different.” Our society should not be homogeneous.

Watch this. Do it now and share it with everyone you know after you’re done.

America is fucking broken and we need to fix it. We need to start with our educational system.

“We are getting our children through education by anesthetizing them.”
